Art Deco Engagement RingThe Newest Trend: Art Deco Engagement Rings

Out with the new and in with the old! The newest fashion statement in the wedding world is the art deco engagement ring. Art deco term means a sleek and vintage design that was a popular style in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. So many stars have jumped on this band wagon. Nancy Shevell, which many of our views know as Paul McCartney’s wife has a beautiful art deco inspired engagement ring. This ring has a 5 carat + round diamond and the accent stones are thin strips of onyx. McCartney wanted a more unique and special ring for Nancy.

Another great thing about the Art Deco ring is that some are actually vintage and passed down from generations. A ring that is so old can become a piece of history. The importance of an engagement ring passed down generation from generation has not only a distinctive meaning of rarity, but it brings a warm spiritual feeling as well. A ring that is considered to be “art deco” usually has a respectable sized round diamond set in white gold or yellow gold. It can have gemstone accent stones or accent smaller round diamonds. The setting for the ring should be so beautifully designed with an antique feel.

Local jewelry stores can help you find the perfect art deco engagement ring. Many jewelers also offer to design the ring with characteristics of what you like most. This is one of the most traditional styles of rings that won’t fade out of style.
