‘The Bachelorette’ Finale Recap

‘The Bachelorette’ Finale Recap

Desiree Hartsock Neil Lane Engagement Ring

One of the most astonishing moments in Bachelorette history was when Brooks Forester left the Desiree Hartsock just days before the final rose ceremony. Many rumors where circling that Brooks was going to come back and sweep Des of her feet once again. It was a nail biter episode because it was one of the most candid seasons of the bachelorette yet!

Brooks later told People Magazine, “I wanted so badly for [the relationship] to work out, and it was so close I could almost touch it. But I needed to walk away. She deserved to be in love with someone who was equally in love with her.” He also said he could tell that Chris Siegfried had that spark for Desiree that he just didn’t.

As the finale played out we all waited with anticipation for Brooks to intrude on the ceremony. Then the final scene: the rose ceremony. As Chris was about to get down on his knee Desiree pulled him back up and said she had to talk to him about something first. I’m almost positive half of America’s heart sank at this moment. After she went on about how in love she was with Brooks, she ended the statement with saying she was blinded to how lucky she was to have Chris. Chris then proposed.

The ring was a Neil Lane Two Tone Vintage Style Diamond Engagement Ring. It incorporated over 200 small diamonds. The center stone was a four carat cushion cut diamond. It was set in a Rose Gold and Platinum setting with an intertwined shank.
