The Top 5 Places to Lose an Engagement Ring

Your fiancé spent a good amount of money and time on the perfect engagement ring for you, so to lose it would be pretty devastating. By identifying the most common places to lose your ring, you will become more aware of your surroundings, ultimately keeping your ring safe.

The Top 5 Places to Lose an Engagement Ring

  1. The beach:
You might as well go ahead and pull out your metal detector if you decided to wear your engagement ring to the beach. The water from the ocean will loosen your skin from the ring and before you know it, your ring is sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Leave your ring at home if you’re heading to the seaside. As an added bonus, you won’t have that tan line!
  2. The gym:
Rings tend to get in the way if you’re lifting weights at the gym, so most women will just take it often, of course intended to put it on right after they’re done. Sadly, though, the ring gets forgotten after the workout. Your best option is to place your engagement ring in a locker before you hit the gym.
  3. Down the drain:
With the intention of keeping your ring from getting dirty, many women place it on the edge of the sink. But watch out – with just one little bump it could end up in the garbage disposal, and if you aren’t paying attention, it could get shredded to pieces. Do yourself a favor and keep your engagement ring away from the sink.
  4. At work:
There are many jobs that require you to do a lot of lifting or typing and if you have one of these jobs, you probably take your engagement ring off to work. But, when things get busy you may forget that you took your ring off. To avoid losing it, you could bring a chain necklace with you to work and hang your ring on it.
  5. In the garden:
Working in your garden gets messy when you start mixing soil and fertilizer, so you obviously won’t want to be wearing your engagement ring during the process. But, you should take it off BEFORE you even go outside – otherwise your ring could wind up lost among the shrubbery.
