What Gift Should You Get for A College Graduate?

Currently I’m holding back my own tears because graduation is right around the corner for me as well! This isn’t your typical blog post about a wedding, anniversary or engagement. This is a nostalgic piece that is not only my own wish-list for the big walk down my educational isle, but also an informational post on what you should get your 20-something year old college graduate.

What to get for your college grad

A Locket: This is a sentimental piece that your collegiate grad can hold on to for the rest of their life! Putting a photo or small scripture is always the way to go for a locket. Maybe you want to leave one space blank and the other filled for memories soon to come. If a locket is too mushy another option could be buying a pendant engraved with “Class of 2014”.

A Watch: The up-and-coming style for young ladies is a Michele watch. This brand is the right price point for your post grad student. If you get a non diamond, plain stainless steel What to Get Your College Graduate watch you’re looking at a price point of less than $1,000. Now lets say you are buying for a male, don’t worry there is a perfect watch for them as well! A vintage Omega can be found on multiple estate jeweler websites such as Raymond Lee Jewelers. There is a stunning vintage Seamaster for $795!

Charm Bracelet: Not into necklaces or watches? Don’t even worry about it! A charm bracelet can be a stylish jewelry option! The charms should be something that signifies the leap into adulthood, for example a cap and gown charm, or a diploma.

Whatever it is that you decide on getting for your lovely graduate, make it sentimental. Make it something they can be proud of. This is it, the final chapter. The world starts getting bigger and its only more mature for them after college graduation. Make the gift something you want them to cherish forever.
